Sources said that the first Xiaomi tablet in recent years would be released after the flagship smartphone with flexible screen Xiaomi Mix Fold, which should go on sale on April 16.
It is reported that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet will be equipped with a single-chip system of the Snapdragon 8XX series, as well as a special version of the MIUI shell that adapts the content to the large screen. The source adds that a similar MIUI version has already been implemented for the big screen Xiaomi Mix Fold.
In a special mode, the interface resembles a PC. Users have access to the Start menu, the control center, the ability to conveniently use two applications in different windows, drag and drop content from one application to another, and so on.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is expected to feature an 11-inch 2K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The source emphasizes that the screen in Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will be better in quality and refresh rate than in existing Apple iPad tablets.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 lineup is also expected to include the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro models, which are equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and Snapdragon 870 SoCs, respectively. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro will compete with the iPad and Huawei MatePad Pro. Also worth noting is stylus support and four speakers.
