Redmi K20 came out in May 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie OS. In February this year in China, it received Android 11 with the EMUI 12.5 beta, but the global Mi 9T, which is a clone of the Redmi K20, lags far behind in terms of software support. Only now, Android 11 has become available for Mi 9T, and even then – with the MIUI 12 interface. In China, many Xiaomi models have already received the final MIUI 12.5, but there are still big problems with the global distribution of this firmware. Therefore, the appearance of a petition demanding to synchronize work on the Chinese and global versions of MIUI is not at all accidental.
Not only is the long-awaited firmware for Mi 9T numbered V126.96.36.199.RFJMIXM released just now, it is presented in beta version and is available so far only to a select few – members of the Mi Pilot program.
