Microsoft is testing a new user-friendly feature for users of the Windows 10 operating system. The Microsoft Edge browser introduces widgets that can be used while working in other applications.
The new feature has already started appearing to some users in Microsoft Edge’s early test build (Canary).
As the thematic resource WindowsLatest reported, at the moment, Microsoft Edge widgets can be of three types – only for search and vertical and horizontal layouts for news, all sorts of interesting content and information, for example, about the weather.
The floating search bar can be displayed on top of other applications. It will allow you to quickly and conveniently find information without going to the browser, including making calculations.
It can be activated in the Microsoft Edge menu in the Toolbar section by selecting the Web Widget item. More expanded options for the panel, not just for search, work similarly. The shortcut icon is automatically docked to the right side of the screen. The widget can be stopped at any time in the notification area.
