A virtual portal was installed between Lithuania and Poland. It connects the cities of Vilnius and Lublin. Unfortunately, the portal will not move you from one point to another – the video is simply broadcast in real time.
These cities have huge round screens on a beautiful platform with built-in cameras.
Engineers of the Creativity and Innovation Center of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University have been developing the portal for about five years.
The main goal is “rethinking the meaning of unity.” In the future, such portals may appear all over the world. Cool idea?
