The American corporation Google announced the official launch in Russia of a new service called YouTube Shorts. As you might guess, the new platform is designed to create and publish short videos up to 60 seconds long.
Simply put, this is a new attempt by Google and YouTube to compete with the most popular Internet project in recent years – the Chinese service TikTok. Just like in TikTok, here you can apply filters to video, create audio samples and use sounds from other videos, add automatic subtitles and text over the video.
In order for YouTube Shorts users to use popular songs in their videos, Google has entered into a partnership agreement with National Digital Aggregator, which is the largest digital music distributor and copyright administrator in our country. YouTube Shorts short videos are available in the corresponding new section on the YouTube homepage and in the tab in the mobile version.
