New details about the Redmi gaming smartphone have appeared on the Web, and the most interesting thing is that the source calls the cost of the model. It is expected that the price of the basic version will not exceed 2,000 yuan, which is roughly equivalent to $305. If so, then the gaming Redmi will be much more affordable than other models in the segment. One of China’s cheapest gaming smartphones right now is the Snapdragon 870-powered Black Shark 4 at $385.
Gaming Redmi is built on another SoC – MediaTek Dimensity 1200, but in terms of performance, it is comparable to Snapdragon 870. The novelty is also credited with OLED Samsung E4 screen like Redmi K40, side mechanical keys like Black Shark 4,5000 mAh battery and charging support power of 65 watts.
The premiere of the gaming Redmi is expected this month, but we probably won’t have to wait for the middle or the end of April: the next announcement event will take place on Tuesday, April 6th.
