A well-known Chinese insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station has published confirmation that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet has appeared in the database of the Chinese regulator TENAA.
TENAA confirms that a version of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet is being prepared for release, equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC that supports fifth-generation networks. The junior version, which is based on the Snapdragon 860 single-chip system, is also awaiting certification.
Earlier, Xiaomi confirmed the development of the MIUI for Pad shell, which was created specifically for tablet products. Tablets will receive a convenient mode of simultaneous work with laptops and smartphones, a new interface and other improvements.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 line should receive LCD screens and OLEDs with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with support for an image refresh rate of 120 Hz and a polling rate of a touch layer of 240 Hz. Also, the tablet will support a stylus that recognizes 4096 degrees of pressure. The device will receive a built-in two-cell battery with a total capacity of 8720 mAh.
The same source published the first images of official accessories for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 flagship tablet, which confirm the design of this device. The announcement of new items is expected in August this year.
