Owner Twitter account momomo_us discovered on the page of a certain merchant supplier not yet announced ASUS and Lenovo laptops on Ryzen 5000H and 5000U chips. Their announcement should take place at CES 2021.
Information about at least four Ryzen 5000H line representatives has already been leaked to the Internet from retail chains. These include Ryzen 9 5900HX, Ryzen 9 5900HS, Ryzen 7 5800H, and Ryzen 5 5600H. They are rumored to have Zen3 architecture. The flagship version of the Ryzen 9 5900HX will have 8 processing cores running in 16 threads. Maximum frequency in performance mode: 4.6 GHz. Power consumption: 45 watts.
The Ryzen 9 5900HS chip was found in the ASUS Zephyrus G14 laptop specs that have not yet been released. It is characterized by reduced power consumption; the figure is 35 watts. The technical characteristics of the 8-core Ryzen 5800H are also partially known: its clock speed will be higher than its predecessor (AMD Ryzen 7 4800H) and will be 3.2 GHz.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600H will receive 6 processing cores with 12 threads. According to the retailer’s information, this processor will have a base frequency of 3 GHz, while in turbo mode, it will be 4.1 GHz. Against the background of the Ryzen 5 4600H, the base frequency has increased by 100 MHz. There is currently no data on the configuration of the graphics subsystem of the chips.
Also, information about AMD chips with the “U” prefix appeared from the wholesale suppliers. This is a series of energy-efficient Zen2 laptop processors. The power consumption of these CPUs does not exceed 25 watts.
The 8-core Ryzen 7 5800U will have a base frequency of 2 GHz, overclocked to 4.4 GHz. According to rumors, it will also be equipped with 8 video cores clocked at 2 GHz. The Ryzen 7 5600U will feature 6 cores clocked at 2 GHz and overclocked to 4.3 GHz. And the youngest chip in the series, Ryzen 3 5300U, will have only 4 cores, each of which will operate at 2.6 GHz. In turbo mode, this value can increase to 3.85 GHz.
Both AMD Ryzen 5000H and Ryzen 5000U families and the first devices based on them are presented in 2021.
