Google has released an update for the Pixel 5 smartphone that contains the April security patch. However, it turns out to be much more useful.

That would be the case with video cards. The update has improved the graphics performance of the Pixel 5 by 30-50%

Google has significantly optimized the graphics driver without too much noise, thanks to which the smartphone’s performance in games and benchmarks has significantly increased. In 3DMark, the result is reported to be 30-50% higher, which is not just a lot, but a suspiciously large amount.

Unfortunately, there are no measurements in games yet, as well as there is no clear explanation of why such an impressive increase in performance. Some speculate that the Snapdragon 765G in the Pixel 5 SoC simply ran with reduced GPU performance from the start.

Considering that the Pixel 4a 5G is based on the same platform and received the same update, this is probably the case with him.
