Tomorrow, Huawei will officially introduce the top-end tablet computers MatePad Pro 2, but at the same time a simpler device will debut – the MatePad Pro 10.8 in the new version. Its characteristics have already been revealed in China.
The most important news is that the novelty is built on the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. US sanctions have excluded Huawei from any single-chip systems with 5G support, but in this case, the Snapdragon 870 4G is used, so everything is legal and legal. Actually, now it becomes clear why Huawei has introduced many LTE versions of its previously released smartphones with 5G support: there are very few Kirin 9000 own SoCs left, so in some models they have been replaced by third-party SoCs without 5G support.
The tablet is equipped with a 10.8-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with a brightness of 540 cd / m2 and a coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The amount of RAM – 8 GB, built-in flash memory – 128 or 256 GB.
The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels, the main one uses a 13 megapixel sensor. The tablet also received a 7250 mAh battery with support for 40 W fast charging. Dimensions and weight of the device – 246 x 159 x 7.2 mm and 460 grams.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 runs HarmonyOS 2.0 and is compatible with Huawei’s proprietary M-Pencil. The novelty will go on sale in three colors. As for the prices, they will be announced tomorrow during the official announcement.
