Sega gives you the chance to prove how big a fan you are. Next year, the video game developer will test everything about Sega in celebration of its 60th anniversary. The exam called “Sega Test” Includes 60 multiple choice questions, and you only have 60 seconds to answer each one. It will tell everything about the developer, including the history of his arcade games, the names of the video games and equipment, how his games are sold abroad, and even the company’s financial activities. As stated on the official event page, the test is for “die-hard Sega fans.”

The company will conduct three sessions of the same test over several days: the first will take place on January 23, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. Japanese time / 6:00 a.m. ET, and the second will take place on January 24, at 10:00 a.m. Japanese time (23:00 Eastern Time) and the latter will take place on the 24th at 5:00 pm Japanese time / 3:00 am ET. You can choose which schedule suits you, but you can also take the test three times – only your highest score will be recorded. Please note that you need to register in advance to participate, and you can do so from January 12th.

Wondering if you will win anything if you get a high score? Well, let’s say that participating in the Sega Test gives you bragging rights. You will be named “Sega 60th Master,” and you will receive a badge. The company will be distributing Aime cards (the company’s arcade service) and signed photographs of Sega Shirou (a fictional character created to promote the developer). Still, these can only be shipped within Japan.
