Last year, Samsung introduced the Odyssey G9, a unique gaming monitor at the time, featuring a Dual Quad resolution (5120 x 1440 pixels) at a frame rate of 240 Hz.
A month ago, Samsung announced the updated Odyssey G9, which retained the design, resolution, but received the latest Quantum Mini LED panel, like the “best TV of all time” – Samsung Neo QLED.
Now there are new details about the updated model. For example, as it turned out, this is the world’s first monitor with the VESA DisplayHDR 2000 certificate. Actually, there is no such certificate officially yet, but advertising posters say that the new Samsung product received it. By the way, the closest competitors can boast a maximum of VESA DisplayHDR 1400.
VESA DisplayHDR 2000 certified for peak brightness up to 2000 cd / m22which is double that of the 2020 model.
The monitor is expected in the summer. How much such a monitor will cost is anyone’s guess, but the first model is now selling for about $ 1,900.
