Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch back in August 2019. The device is equipped with an AMOLED matrix, can take an ECG, and is based on the Tizen operating system. According to a recent leak, the company will re-launch the Watch Active 2 in a new color alongside the Galaxy S21 flagships.
Reputable insider Evan Blass has announced that Samsung will re-release the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in rose gold next month. As the date on the dial suggests, the launch could take place on January 14th. Let’s remind you that it is on this day that the presentation of the Galaxy S21 family is expected. The image posted by Blass shows a pink watch with a purple strap. As a reminder, the watch is currently available in black, gray, and pink.
It is not yet clear what motives Samsung is guided by when re-releasing the device, which is already one and a half years old. It can be assumed that in this way, the company will move the watch into the category of affordable products, similar to what Apple did with Watch Series 3. However, such a step will certainly please the owners of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 since it will mean that their wearable device is still relevant.
