Internet sources have published information about a relatively inexpensive Samsung smartphone with a flexible display, the presentation of which is expected next year. We are talking about a device known under the unofficial name Galaxy Z Fold Lite.
The device will be made in a book’s format with a flexible screen that folds into the body. According to new data, the size of this panel will be 7 inches diagonally. The display will be coated with a clear polyimide (CPI) film coating. Samsung allegedly decided to abandon the use of ultra-thin UTG glass to reduce the cost. On the outside of the Galaxy Z Fold Lite, there will be a secondary 4-inch screen.
The presentation of the novelty is said to take place in the first quarter of the coming year. The device may debut in January – along with the flagship smartphones of the Galaxy S21 family.
And for the third quarter of 2021, the South Korean giant, according to rumors, has planned the release of two more smartphones with flexible display – Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The first supposedly will receive a 6.7-inch main screen with UTG glass and an external 3- inch display, and the second has 7 “(UTG coated) and 4” diagonal panels. Simultaneously, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 models are credited with the presence of a sub-screen camera and support for the S Pen.
