It’s only been five months since the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, however, details about the Galaxy S22 series have already begun to surface online. According to several sources, the next generation Galaxy S series smartphones will have a smaller display than the current generation models.

Expected screen diagonals:

  • Galaxy S22: 6.06-6.1 inches
  • Galaxy S22 +: 6.55-6.66 inches
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra: 6.80-6.81 inches
Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones will get smaller screens, and only Galaxy S22 Ultra will have an LTPO display

By comparison, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + have 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will reportedly have the same 6.8-inch display as its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 Ultra. In addition, only the Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to receive an LTPO panel.

Presumably, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a WQHD + display, while the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + will have FHD + displays.

The release of new smartphones is expected in January next year.
