Over a year ago, Huawei unveiled its P40 line, which included several devices at once: P40 Lite, P40 Lite E, P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro +. In theory, right now the company is going to show a new generation of P50 smartphones. But due to the crisis in the semiconductor market and general difficulties with the production of smartphones and tablets, the devices are delayed.
Now, layouts of one of the models of the future Huawei P50 line have appeared on the network. They are published on the site / Leaks:
These mockups are not working prototypes – they have no filling. But they do confirm the renders posted by Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks:
As I assumed in the text about the renders of the P50 line, the monstrous block of cameras will have not two, but more modules:
According to the renders, the photos show mockups of the Huawei P50, not the Pro version. At least, this can be judged by the display without strongly curved edges:
It is assumed that one of the camera modules will receive an as yet unannounced Sony IMX800 matrix. It will compete with the Samsung ISOCELL GN2 in its size: a whole Vidicon inch (2/3 of the usual inch, that is, 16.93 mm) diagonally!
In the photographs, the mock-ups are not shown from the side, that is, we do not know the thickness of future smartphones. But according to Steve Hemmerstoffer, the P50 will have a final thickness of 10.6mm on the bulging camera module. This will help give space for the sensor that needs an advanced cooling system.
It is not yet known exactly when the Huawei P50 will be presented. According to rumors, this will happen in May – June this year.
