Samsung is going to present a whole series of new products in about a month – at the event on August 11. These include a new smart watch – Galaxy Watch 4, about which detailed information has appeared on the network.
The details and official images were shared by the well-known German resource WinFuture, behind which is the no less famous insider Roland Quandt with a long track record of reliable leaks. This time, the original source of the leak was a page at the online giant Amazon, which was quickly removed from the public domain.
The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic should be the first Samsung watches to feature the new Google Wear OS shell and without Tizen.
The base model Galaxy Watch 4 will be offered in 44mm and 40mm versions with aluminum cases. The larger version has a 1.36-inch display and a 361 mAh battery. In the smaller version, the display has a diagonal of 1.19 inches, and the battery has a capacity of 247 mAh.
The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in 42 and 46 mm will also be available. In addition to the larger size, the Classic model has another difference – the rotating bezel, which was previously the hallmark of Samsung smartwatches.
All versions will receive a variety of sports modes and corresponding sensors, for example, to determine the heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. In addition to options with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC, there are also options with LTE support.
In terms of price, the cheapest version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will start at just under € 300.
