All current MacBooks, from the Air to the 16-inch Pro, have an outdated 720p webcam.

Only two devices received a 1080p webcam: the 2020 27-inch iMac and the 2021 24-inch iMac. Apple finally changed its mind and decided to add a new webcam to the MacBook Pro.

About it approves insider under the nickname Dylandkt. According to him, the new MacBook Pro, which will be presented this fall, will have a 1080p webcam.

Also, the Apple Silicon chip will be responsible for the picture quality. In the current M1 models, it improves the picture, but not at all as much as we would like.

New MacBook Pro with 14- and 16-inch displays will be shown this fall. We are waiting for a new design, a powerful Apple M1X chip, more ports and a miniLED display.
