Grossglockner High Alpine Road, Austria
This whole region was closed off to everybody apart from mountain climbers until 1935. The steepness of the road ensures you will experience both fear and captivation with the incredible views.
This is Austria’s highest mountain pass road. It connects the towns of Heiligenblut, Salzburg, Bruck, and Carinthia in the south of Austria. The Romans and Celts have tried to traverse this pass over 3,500 years ago.
