The national Russian payment system “Mir” has become even more convenient and functional – from now on, its cards can be used for contactless payments for purchases using the iPhone and Apple Watch. As of today, five large domestic banks have begun to connect Mir cards to Apple Pay, a proprietary payment system of Apple’s technology.

This opportunity appeared for the clients of Rosbank, Sberbank, VTB, Rosselkhozbank and Otkritie Bank. It is also reported that this fall, the “Mir” and Apple Pay cards will “make friends” and the Moscow Credit Bank. Let us remind you that the Mir payment system was launched in 2015. Mir cards work throughout our country – in all points where bank cards are served.

It is also possible to withdraw money from any ATM and pay for goods or services using a Mir card throughout Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Turkey and Vietnam. A number of operations are available in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Cyprus. And yesterday it became known that the Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles is preparing a high-speed unmanned flying car.
