The Mi Band 5 is the latest fitness tracker from Xiaomi, the successor to last year’s hugely popular Mi Band 4. The new model is similar to the previous generation, but with a larger display and magnetic charging. Xiaomi today released a new firmware update for the Band 5, adding several new features.
The Mi Band series of fitness trackers is the company’s best-selling line of wearable devices. Xiaomi is trying to develop them and add new features. Today the company released an update (v220.127.116.11) that adds 24/7 sleep monitoring to the tracker. So far, only Chinese users of the bracelet have received this feature, but the update will soon spread to the whole world.
The bracelet will also receive two more new functions. First, it received support for four new languages. And secondly, it began to support new transport cards.
Stay tuned for available updates to the Mi Fit app. The bracelet will automatically add a 24-hour monitoring function when the Mi Fit app has updated to v4.8.0.
