The CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun officially announced on his Weibo page this morning that the thinnest and lightest smartphone in the history of the Xiaomi Mi line will be presented on March 29.
He added that the device is intended for young people. Sources confirm that we are talking about the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, which will be presented along with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra super flagships, as well as the flexible Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone.
The novelty has already appeared in the catalogs of online stores, so we know the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G will be based on the Snapdragon 732G SoC, while the Mi 11 Lite 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. This will be the only difference between the models.
The Mi 11 Lite will feature a 6.55-inch Full HD + (1080 x 2400 pixels) AMOLED screen with a hole in the upper left corner. The screen is expected to support a refresh rate of 90Hz and will also feature an in-screen fingerprint reader, a 20MP selfie camera, and 64, 8 and 5MP image sensors in the main camera. The device will run Android 11 OS with MIUI 12 shell. The 4250 mAh battery will support 33 W fast charging. The phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory will cost 399 euros, and the version with 8/128 GB will be priced at 429 euros. The younger 4G version with 6/64 and 6/128 GB will be offered for 279 and 329 euros, respectively.
