Experts of the analytical company Juniper Research believe that the number of devices with eSIM cards connected to the network this year will reach 1.2 billion. In 2025 it will reach 3.4 billion, having increased by 180% over the indicated period.
As a reminder, eSIM is a SIM card built into a device. Like the removable SIM card, it provides a connection to the cellular network.
According to analysts, 94% of eSIM connections in 2025 will be in the consumer sector, ahead of the industrial and public sectors. The adoption of eSIM in consumer devices is expected to accelerate support from manufacturers such as Apple and Google. True, Juniper Research experts make a reservation that widespread adoption will depend on support from network operators.
