The main camera of the iPhone 13 will be almost identical to the camera of the iPhone 12 line. Small changes will affect only the camera lens of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the aperture of which will increase from f / 1.6 to f / 1.5. This is reported by the edition MacRumors with reference to the authoritative insider Ming-Chi Kuo.
The main camera of the iPhone 13, 13 mini and 13 Pro will receive the same lenses, consisting of seven lenses with an aperture of f / 1.6. The main supplier will be Sunny Optical, and the start of production is scheduled for May.
Significant changes will affect the ultra-wide-angle camera of the iPhone 13 Pro line – Ming-Chi spoke about this back in January, and now confirms his words. However, Barclays analysts disagree with Min-Chi. They believe Apple will improve ultrawide across the entire iPhone 13 lineup:
The lenses of the ultra-wide-angle cameras of the iPhone 13 will receive more lenses, and will also become more aperture: the aperture will increase from f / 2.4 to f / 1.8.
Despite Min-Chi’s information, one should not think that cameras in future iPhones will be exactly the same as in iPhone 12. The shooting involves not only the lens, but also the matrix. And there is no information on improving these camera elements yet.
It is assumed that the presentation of the new generation iPhones will take place in September.
