Intel continues to attack Apple in the marketing field, claiming Core laptops are better than M1-based MacBooks.
But now Intel has decided to go further and is actually opposing its own processors. More specifically, the company claims that laptops with an Intel CPU are better than any MacBook at gaming, while comparing it to a 16-inch MacBook Pro based on the Core i9-9980H. Thus, here it is more important for Intel to show not the advantage of the processor, but still the advantage of the platform as a whole.
The specified MacBook Pro is compared with an unnamed laptop based on the Core i5-11400H and GeForce RTX 3060. And although the CPU in this case is far from the fact that it is faster than the Core i9-9980H anywhere, it still does not limit the video card, but in modern games the video card is much more important.
In this case, the new RTX 3060 is compared to the not-so-recent Radeon Pro 5600M. Of course, this comparison is in favor of the former. Here Intel does not indicate what it was guided by when choosing a configuration, because it could have taken something from the RTX 3080, and then the comparison would be even more interesting.
In any case, as we can see, the MacBook Pro loses everywhere. It should be noted that Windows 10 was launched there via Boot Camp, although there are two tests where an Apple PC ran under macOS.
