In the Vivo smartphone case, a non-final version of the smartphone was tested so that the results may improve before the release.
In the past couple of days, we talked quite often about the Snapdragon 888 SoC, which was officially announced at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit 2020.
Next year, many manufacturers will launch their smartphones based on the Snapdragon 888. The first will be Xiaomi, which is due to unveil the Xiaomi Mi 11 later this month. Also on the list are Redmi, OnePlus, Sony, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, Meizu, ZTE, Black Shark, Lenovo, Nubia, Asus, Motorola, Sharp, and LG.
A day after the official announcement of Snapdragon 888, the results of testing an unknown smartphone, Vivo, based on Snapdragon 888, appeared on the Web in the popular GeekBench test application. The smartphone runs under the model number Vivo V2056A. It scored 1135 points in single-threaded mode, and when using all cores, the result was 3681 points.
The source recalls that the Kirin 9000 in this benchmark were 1014 and 3715 points, respectively. The results are generally similar, but do not forget that in the Vivo smartphone, not the final version of the smartphone was tested so that the results may improve before the release.
At the Qualcomm 2020 Snapdragon Technology Summit, Hu Baishan, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Vivo, announced that Vivo and iQOO smartphones would be among the first to feature the new Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform. They will bring higher performance and richer functionality to consumers.
