The gaming PC market in EMEA, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa, posted strong growth in the first quarter of 2021. 2.4 million systems were shipped during the quarter, up 50.2% year-on-year. Such data are given in the report of the analytical company IDC.

Analysts believe that growth will gradually slow down. Already in the second quarter it will amount to 17.6% and in the third – 11.1%. The slowdown will continue in the future, but growth will continue. In 2025, sales will amount to 11.5 million units, with a five-year CAGR of 2.7%.

Of course, the situation will develop in different ways in different segments. In fact, the market will grow with notebook sales, which will increase the share of notebooks from the current 65.8% to 72.5%. Notebook sales will grow at a CAGR of 5.2% from 2021 to 2025.

In turn, sales of desktop PCs will decline over the outlined period by an average of 2.8% per year. This will lead to a decrease in the share of desktop PCs from 34.2% to 27.5%.
