Honor has officially denied rumors that it has not received a license from Google to use the American company’s applications and services in its new smartphones.
Honor’s lack of an Android license is false information.
Over the weekend, Chinese sources said the company has yet to obtain an Android license and cannot use Google’s services. Earlier, the company has already hinted that Google services will appear in Honor smartphones. Now Honor has essentially confirmed this.
Last year, Chinese tech giant Huawei sold its Honor sub-brand to Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd., which is a consortium of more than 30 companies. Soon after Honor became independent, the company began strengthening its supply chain and building partnerships with suppliers around the world.
In doing so, the company retained a team of more than 8,000 people who work in different divisions, including research and development, sales, marketing, purchasing and manufacturing.
