Honor was originally slated to release the Honor V40 lineup this month. But because the brand gained independence, all plans changed dramatically. Now the Honor V40 release has been pushed back to January. It will be the first smartphone self-released by the company.
The Honor V30 lineup had two smartphones – Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro. And in the new series Honor V40 there will be only one smartphone – Honor V40 Pro. This is primarily due to the suspension of Kirin processors’ suspension, which forced Honor to purchase chips from other manufacturers. The Honor V40 Pro is expected to be powered by some MediaTek processor. The exact name of the processor is not known. It can be the flagship Dimensity 1000+ or the yet to be announced 6nm chip codenamed MT6893.
