In the spring, it was reported that the Google Pixel 5a 5G smartphone will receive the Snapdragon 765G single-chip system, which was installed in the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5. Now, however, sources insist on using a Snapdragon 750G single-chip system.
The Snapdragon 750G is manufactured using an 8nm process technology, while the Snapdragon 765G is a 7nm platform. The Snapdragon 750G has two 2.2GHz Cortex-A77 cores, while the Snapdragon 750G has one 2.4GHz Cortex-A76 and one 2.2GHz Cortex-A76. The other six cores in both cases are Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8 GHz.
Despite the fact that the Snapdragon 750G is manufactured using an older manufacturing process, it received more powerful processor cores. At the same time, Snapdragon 765G is a more energy efficient platform.
The source claims the phone will have 6GB of RAM and fast UFS 3.1 flash instead of UFS 2.1. The volume of non-volatile memory will be 128 GB. Google Pixel 5a 5G will receive a 3840 mAh battery with support for 20-watt charging, a 6.2-inch OLED screen and a dual main camera.
The Pixel 5a 5G is not expected to arrive until August.
