The head of Xiaomi Lei Jun revealed today another secret of the flagship smartphone Mi 11 Ultra. In general, the company likes to talk about the so-called “black technologies” in their devices – that is, some breakthrough developments, but in this case, everything is quite simple.
It turned out that the screen that is part of the main camera block of Mi 11 Ultra was borrowed from … Mi Band 5. The display is small, but a big one is not required there – the camera block is already huge. The 1.1-inch AMOLED panel is enough for displaying notifications, weather forecasts, displaying various screensavers and logos, etc. The same screen, by the way, can act as a viewfinder for self-portraits.
Recall that the newest Mi Band 6 received a screen with improved graphics and a larger one – it occupies almost the entire front surface. The display from Mi Band 6 may be used in the Mi 12 Ultra if only the flagship with a built-in screen in the main camera block is not a one-time promotion of the manufacturer.
