The independent laboratory DxOMark summed up the results of the just-ended 2020 and named the best smartphones in terms of photo and video capabilities. The experts named the Chinese super-flagship HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro + the best of the best in terms of the sum of points. It also won the Best Low Light Smartphone category.
Interestingly, according to DxOMark experts, the champion’s younger brother does the best with 4K-resolution video recording without the “+” prefix in the name.
He’s also great with portraits. But in this category, the Mate 40 Pro had to share the palm with another smartphone – the Korean super-duper flagship Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.
Two more mentions in the year-end from DxOMark received another device with the Ultra prefix in the name – the Chinese flagship Xiaomi Mi10 Ultra. Experts were named the best when shooting from a distance with a telephoto lens, as well as when shooting with a wide-angle lens. By the way, other experts recently selected the best low-cost smartphones of 2020.
