Despite its name, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) also gives out awards for the best games of the year. This time, at the end of 2020, experts recognized roguelike Hades as the best game based on ancient Greek mythology.

The title also earned the Best Animation award and the People’s Choice Award. The Multiplayer of the Year award went to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Sackboy: A Big Adventure was named Game of the Year for the whole family. She was also recognized as the best British game of the year. The Best Original Game of the Year is the indie project Kentucky Route Zero.
