Apple has unveiled watchOS 8, a new mobile platform for its Apple Watch, at WWDC 2021.
The platform will bring new features including expanded health features, an improved Breathe app, and a new Mindfulness app. The meditation mode becomes available to users, the sleep tracking function will now begin to track the user’s breathing at night. Apple Fintess + will bring new workout modes including Tai Chi and Pilates.
In addition, new dials become available, including the long-awaited “portrait” ones – you can choose a photo as a screensaver. The Photo application will display more information on the screen, the new Find Items application will allow you to search for various things through the “Locator” (Find My), and Apple Wallet will store electronic keys to apartments in hotels, car keys and so on.
The new watchOS 8 platform will be available to ordinary Apple Watch users in the fall of 2021.
