According to DigiTimes, Apple has implemented improved camera technology in all iPhone models due in 2021. It is not yet known exactly whether they will refer to the iPhone 13 or iPhone 12s line.
Firstly, we are talking about the technology of optical image stabilization with a shift of the matrix. This allows for clearer photos and also compensates for user shake. The company installed larger image sensors, due to which the main camera unit has noticeably increased.
According to industry sources, shipments of VCM engines needed to power the OIS technology in the iPhone 13 will begin to climb in late June and will exceed shipments for Android phones in July.
The main suppliers of such engines are Japanese companies Mitsumi and Alps, but Apple also intends to buy them from Chinese firms Zhonglan Electronic Technology, JCT Electronics and GYZ Electronic Technology, as well as from Taiwan’s Audix.
The presentation of the iPhone 13 is expected in September this year.
