Apple has joined the H&M boycott in China. Recently, we reported that Chinese giants including Vivo, Xiaomi and Huawei have removed the H&M app from their software stores, and Chinese map services and search engines no longer return any results when trying to find H&M or its stores.
But if everything is quite clear with Chinese companies, now it is reported that the Apple Maps service also no longer finds H&M stores in the Middle Kingdom. There has been no data on any actions or even statements by the Chinese authorities regarding H&M so far, so it is likely that Apple’s action is its own initiative.
It is not yet clear how the boycott will end, but in China, H&M has more than 400 stores, which means that this market is clearly very important for it.
