AOC this week announced the sale of the I1601P monitor. It’s a portable model that lets you add an extra monitor to your system, even on the go. At the heart of the AOC I1601P is a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). The monitor can be connected via both USB-A and USB-C using the same cable included in the kit.
USB DisplayPort Alt Mode is used when connected to USB-C systems, and DisplayLink is used when connected to USB-A. DisplayLink drivers are available for Windows, macOS, Android, ChromeOS, and Ubuntu.
The back panel of I1601P is made of aluminum alloy. The monitor weighs just 800 g. The included SmartCase protects the display from scratches during portability and also doubles as a foldable stand.
The refresh rate is 60 Hz, the response time is 5 ms, the brightness is 220 cd / m2. The screen has an anti-reflective coating. The monitor can be used in landscape and portrait orientations. In the settings, you can enable the function of automatic image rotation when the screen orientation changes. You can use the hardware buttons or the i-Menu software to access the OSD.
The AOC I1601P will go on sale in August for € 219.
