Analysts at IDC, tracking the situation in the market of monitors, summed up the results of the fourth quarter of last year and the year as a whole. According to their calculations, in 2020, the market for monitors recorded the largest growth in the entire history of observations.
More precisely, 39.2 million monitors were shipped in the fourth quarter of 2020, which is 16.9% more than the value given in the report for the same period in 2019. And for the entire 2020, more than 136.6 million monitors were shipped. This is 8.3% more than in the previous year.
According to the results of the year, Dell was named the market leader, with a 19.3% share. TDP is in second place with 14.1%, HP is in third with 13.5%. The top five monitor suppliers also include Lenovo and Samsung, which hold 10.5% and 8.6% of the market, respectively. In 2019, Dell’s share was 21.0%, TPV – 14.0%, HP – 14.8%, Lenovo – 10.7%, Samsung – 7.1%.
